Ski sport in Rugova, Hajla, Boge, Drelaj

Rugova Mountains is the biggest valley in the accursed mountains in the vicinity of the city of Peja. These mountains are more known for hiking and gorgeous Via Ferrata, however there are nice destinations for ski and ski touring.
There are two main villages where this is possible and there is infrastructure and local support. The first place is the village of Boge. This place is quite popular with locals for barbecue and small outing in the nature. There is a 1 kilometre lift and a some motorised machines. For ski touring there is a trail which goes through the village of Shkrel, however the place does not offer much also because it can be noisy.
The other location is totally different — wild, and most probably you will not see anyone else on the trails. This is Mount Hajla which is also the border with Montenegro. The peak of Hajla is 2403 meters. The eastern face after it is climber can serve as a very nice place to ski down and reach one of the three villages: Pepiq, Drelaj or Reka e Allages. However these mountains are more known for snow-shoeing than ski touring, due to very steep parts of the trail
