Ski touring in Prevalac or Prevalla
Prevalac Pass (1,535m) The road snakes back up to Prevalac. Before getting to the top you may want to pull over safely and take a picture of Gornje Selo below you with its stone houses and mosque gleaming in the sun. When you get to the top of Prevalac, the peace of the countryside may be broken by the army of day trippers who have all congregated in the same spot with their litter and noise.
This is a small center with numerous hotels and a pull lift for kids. In the weekend the place is full with people coming to enjoy fresh air and do small walks in the snow. As locals are not very strong hikers most of the time the snow is untouched as you ascend any of the trails. Mos of the people doing ski touring ar tourists from all around the world. This may be also the best place to station yourself for ski touring. It is not too expenssive, you start your tours from the hotel door, and the food is in upper skale, though it may become a bit repetitive.
The Konjushka Peak is the most obvous trail you can take. Starting at 1500 meters you will climb up to 2571 meters. The whole tour is in open filed while the peaks are visible. On the way back you can choose to take the open spaces however, there are some woodlands where you can enter if you see yourself as a more abled skier. From Konjushka you can continue through the ridge and reach Maja e Zeze or Crni Vrh 2585, or even continue further. While ski touring in these reidges you will be walking in the border line between Kosovo and North Macedonia. Other peaks in the region are Vertob 2555 meters, Kobllica 2528 and other. If you go in the west you will join peaks reachable from Brezovica.
